About the Galt Museum & Archives
The Galt Museum & Archives, also known by its Blackfoot name Akaisamitohkanao’pa meaning “eternal gathering place”, is the largest museum in southern Alberta. It houses over 20,000 artifacts and more than 300,000 archival documents and photographs, offering a deep dive into the human history of Lethbridge and southwestern Alberta.
What to expect ?
- Free Access: Explore the museum’s world-class exhibits and archives at no cost during the icebreaker.
- Cultural Performance: Enjoy a captivating hoop dance performance by Jerrhan (Kaatoyis/Jerrhan First Charger (@kaatoyis) • Instagram photos and videos) around 7:00 PM.
- Refreshments: Savor a selection of drinks and food while mingling with fellow attendees.
