Call for Proposals for Invited Sessions

Proposals for Invited Sessions are being solicited for the 45^th Canadian Symposium on Remote Sensing to be held June 10-13, 2024 in Halifax, NS. To maximize interactions between participants, the symposium will be organized in person only. Further details of the symposium will be made available on this web page.

Proposals from diverse and collaborative sources, including but not limited to research groups, academia, government organizations, and industry, are welcome. We encourage contributions that reflect a wide range of perspectives and expertise, fostering an inclusive and dynamic environment for meaningful knowledge exchange.

Proposals must include the following:

1. Title of the Invited Session
2. A 200-word abstract describing the proposed session and emphasizing the uniqueness of this topic. This abstract should provide more detail than a brief summary of each of the presentations invited to this session.
3. Invited Session Chairs (Maximum of 2), with name, affiliation, and contact information.
4. A list of five presentations to be included in this session. This list must include the titles of the presentations and the names of the authors of each one. Potential presenters agree to submit an abstract to the 45^th Canadian Symposium on Remote Sensing if the session is accepted for the symposium. Submitted abstracts will undergo the regular review procedure of the symposium.  If the aim of a session is to highlight a particular area of research, proposed presentations must be led by authors from a number of different institutions. If more than 5 presentations are proposed, multiple session proposals should be submitted.

Completed proposals for Invited Sessions must be received by the Technical Program Committee no later than December 11, 2023.

The Technical Program Committee will review the submitted Invited Session proposals. Letters of acceptance for Invited Sessions will be sent no later than December 22, 2023.

Acceptance of an Invited Session does not guarantee acceptance of the proposed presentations. Abstracts submitted to accepted Invited Sessions will be reviewed along with those submitted in response to the Call for Abstracts of this symposium.

Please submit your proposal for an Invited Session by email to the Technical Program Committee through csrs2024-tpc@crss-sct.ca.

Subject of the email should be “CSRS 2024 Invited Session Proposal“.
