CSRS 2018 – Second Call for Abstracts

The deadline to submit abstracts has been extended to 12 March, 2018.

Dear Colleagues,

This is the second call to the 39th Canadian Symposium of Remote Sensing (CSRS 2018).

The CSRS 2018 conference is organized by the University of Saskatchewan and the Canadian Remote Sensing Society and it will take place on 19-21 June, 2018 in Saskatoon, SK, Canada.

The CSRS 2018 will be highlighting new remote sensing technologies and cutting-edge algorithms and methods on image processing in all perspectives, including but not limited to:

  • Agriculture
  • Hydrology
  • Forest
  • Wetland
  • Urban
  • Geology/Archaeology/Oil/Gas
  • Coast
  • Health
  • Fire
  • Climate change/Meteorology
  • Ecology
  • Education
  • History

The special sessions (by February 23, 2018) are presented below:

  1. Advances in remote sensing techniques for digital elevation modelling (Karl-Erich Lindenschmidt)
  2. The SWOT-C Mission: A New vision for Water Futures in Canada (Alain Pietroniro, M. Robert Saint-Jean, Dan Peters, and Daqing Yang)
  3. Applications of the RADARSAT Constellation Mission Compact Polarimetry (Gordon Staples and Matt Arkett)
  4. Lidar hydrogeomatics in support of hydro-ecological classification and monitoring (Chris Hopkinson and Brian Brisco)
  5. Machine Learning in Remote Sensing Image Classification (Koreen Millard, Sarah Banksand, and Amir Behnamian)

  10. Optical Image Simulation for Upcoming Missions (Peter White)

This is the second Call for Abstracts.  The CSRS 2018 is open to presentations (oral or poster) on any topic related to Earth Observation.
