Professional, Student and Young Professional (SYP) Networking Activity

Students, early career young professionals (post-docs, research associates, etc.) and members of the remote sensing community are invited to attend a students and young professionals (SYP) networking event at the CSRS!

During this 1 hour and 15 minute session, we will host a panel discussion with representatives from industry and government attending the conference on topics that are at top of mind for SYP. We will start the session with a guest presentation on the current state of the industry and what SYP need to know to get ahead by Dr. Bob Ryerson, the current president of Kim Geomatics Corporation and past Director General of the Canada Centre for Remote Sensing. A panel of 5 top professionals will then answer and discuss questions and topics that are at top of mind to SYP.

To get the discussion going, we encourage all SYP to fill in this anonymous survey: – Cut-off date – July 8, 2020

In addition, we would like to encourage all professionals (industry personnel, professors, government scientists who use remotely sensed data) to fill in a similar anonymous survey here: – Cut-off date – July 8, 2020

We’ll discuss and compare the most interesting and informative results of the surveys!
