Position overview:
Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada invites applications for a Research Assistant position in remote sensing for agricultural research and plant assessment. The successful candidate will support projects using ground-based and aerial imaging technologies for crop monitoring, digital phenotyping, and data analysis.
The role also involves coordinating remote sensing data collection, performing digital image analysis and basic statistical analysis, and contributing to research reports, publications, and presentations.
Applications should demonstrate experience or interest in:
• Remote sensing for crop monitoring and plant phenotyping
• Digital imaging and data analysis for agricultural research
• Data management and processing of remote sensing datasets
This process may be used to establish a pool of qualified or partially qualified candidates. The immediate need is to fill a one-year term position with the possibility of extension.
